Tresigne triumphs in Thursday Open

DANNY Tresigne fished pole and pellets up to the small island to net carp and stockies for a winning weight of 59lb 13oz on in-form peg 13 in Alvechurch Fisheries’ Thursday Open in which 18 fished. Tresigne also topped up his winnings with the bonus peg money.

In second place on peg 28 was Ron Taylor who used method feeder up to the island for his carp and stockies catch of 52lb 12oz.

In third spot was Les Ayres on peg 30 who fished pole and pellets in front over a number of swims to land carp and stockies weighing 50lb 7oz.

Fisheries’ assistant manager Craig Evans on peg 36 finished fourth after using pole and paste out in front and late down the bank side edge for carp up to 7lb and stockies for his weight of 46lb 8oz.




Warren Beech on peg 26 fished long pole out in front shallow with 6ml pellet on the hook for his weight of 36lb 8oz.

TWELVE fished in the Sunday club match at Lower Shenley AC and first place went to Peter Mander on peg 28 with a catch of 52lb 1oz.


Graham York was second on peg 26 with 37lb 6oz, third was Eddie Jones on peg 18 with 36lb 9oz and fourth was Alan Davies on peg 24 with 31lb 6oz.

Fifth was Paul Buckingham on peg 32 with 21lb 15oz and sixth was Steve Blake on peg 13 with 20lb 9oz.

The club secretary said: “It was an excellent match in which everyone weighed in and thanks go to Mark and Craig for its organisation.”
