REDDITCH race ace Trystan Finocchiaro is set to pilot one of the Team Ready4Racing (R4R) Vision Kawasaki ZX636Rs for the 2021 Pirelli National Superstock 600 season.
The 22-year-old spent 2020 learning the ropes in his debut season in the Superstock 600 category after graduating from the Junior Supersport in which he finished third in 2019.
The Ready4Racing team first ventured into the British Superbike paddock in 2019 when they competed in the Superstock 600 class.
Managed by Gino Rea and Vision CPS with the aim of developing riders, the team have achieved five podiums including one win and six front row starts in the short time they have been in the category.
Finocchiaro said: “I’m really excited to get going with the R4R Vision team. I see this as an awesome opportunity to learn and grow as a rider.
“Working with Gino and the team is extremely exciting as I’ve been following Gino’s career since I was 13. I want to utilise this experience to bring myself to podium pace and I think this is the perfect place for me to do this with the strength of the team, the experience the guys have and the coaching from Gino.”
Rea added: “The R4R Vision team are delighted to be taking Trystan onboard for the 2021 National Superstock 600 Championship!
“I have followed him for a while since his Italian name caught my eye and I like his professionalism and approach to racing.
“We already started working on Trystan’s fitness and nutrition regime and, when Covid allows, I’ll start rider coaching with him.
“Our expectations at the moment are only to see him learn and improve throughout the year, but once we get a few races under our belt we’ll have more realistic goals to work on.
“The eye is on the bigger picture, which is developing him as a rider to see him fighting for the championship in 2022.”
Team R4R Vision and Finocchiaro will commence with official British Superbike testing in April in preparation for the first round of the season at Oulton Park (May 29-31).
