A GOAL from Richard Tyler was enough to clinch a 1-0 victory for Studley Lions over VKL United in the Studley Cup game in memory of Vinay Kishor Ladwa.

It would have been the 30th birthday of Vinay, who passed away in 2013, but his friends at VKL continue to raise money for charity in his honour and once again Saturday’s latest match in Vinay’s memory was a big success.

On Sunday, Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination leaders CBH Fasteners beat Lodge Park 7-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Nathan Davies, two goals from Sean Parish and further strikes from Nathan Simon and Nick Gregson-Jones. Connor Atkinson netted for the hosts.

This weekend CBH will be bidding to maintain their momentum when they visit Perrywood in the Worcestershire FA Sunday Premier Cup quarter-final.

South Redditch drew 2-2 at home to Beoley Village as Kyle Tapsell and Logan Madden found the net for the hosts and Steve Knight bagged a brace for Beoley.

Connor Perry-Holmes netted five times and Robbie Davies (2), Ben Turner, Ben Cox, Tristan Roberts, Jack Smith and Luke Poole also found the net to inspire Feckenham Sunday to a crushing 12-1 victory over Norton Athletic, for whom Scott Baker registered.

Jamie Hatfield, Tom Blewett, Marc Jovanovic and Brendan Hicks were all on target in SSS Lions’ 4-2 home success against SCC Redolence, whose goals were scored by Ryan Bromhead.

Tim Lees scored twice and Joe Reeves and Kyle Perkins also struck to help Redditch United Cross win 4-2 at Astwood, for whom Jake Pollard and Harry West netted.
