ALVECHURCH will use tonight’s (Tuesday, 7.45pm) friendly at Studley as the opportunity for their fringe players and youngsters to showcase their abilities.
Church travel to the Beehive to face Studley’s newly-assembled side after manager Keith Draper was appointed.
Alvechurch’s recently-appointed coach Mark Jones, the former Cradley Town player, has also switched to the Bees as part of the backroom staff.
With no midweek game for the past two weeks, Church boss Ian Long and No 2 Richard Colwell see the game as a useful fitness exercise.
Young prospects Danny Moy, Brogan Halpin and Leonardo Torres are set to feature.
Long said: “The friendly at Studley is an opportunity to get some fitness into players and keep them ticking over.
“There’s also the opportunity for some of the younger players who have been doing well with the U21s and U18s to be blooded among the first team squad.”
Alvechurch are back in action on Saturday when they entertain fellow Midland League Premier side Sporting Khalsa in one of the Midlands ties of the FA Vase second round.
