In the S&W Birmingham Over 60s League Division Seven, Alcester A visited Ye Olde Knowle D and recorded another win, this time by 33 shots.

The over 60s section of the Heart of England League saw Alcester A visit Kings Norton A, but only two winners came Alcester’s way, with success for Renny Bannister (21-17) and Ken Harvey (21-18) in this 31-shot defeat, which produced just two league points.

The final match of the week found Alcester B hosting Kings Norton B in Division Five and excellent cards from John Willis (21-6), David Hodgson (21-7) and Val McDermott (21-8) – supported by David Whittington (21-13) – gave Alcester 14 points in this 28-shot win.
