THE Hart Crown Green Bowling Club ended their season with a fine 114-76 home victory against Baldwin in the Heart of England Over 60’s League Division One to secure their place in the top flight next year.

Captain Mike Estell led by example with an easy 21-4 card and was well supported by Graham Arnott (21-10), Neil Laxton (21-9), Kirk Wright (21-12) and Ian Humphreys (21-5).

And Hart also hosted the 2022 Heart of England Singles Floodlit Tournament which attracted 50 bowlers from many different clubs.

After four qualifying rounds, eight bowlers secured their place at a Finals Evening as Colebrook’s Jake Williams defeated Liam Lowery (Triplex) and Matt Caines (Triplex) accounted for Matt Clarke (Woodbourne) in the semi-finals.

And the final began as a close and tense affair before Williams pulled away with a break of 17 shots to secure the title.
