LONG-STANDING club member Dave Kings rolled back the years to win The Hart’s annual Tony Sugden Memorial Handicap Tournament.
Kings produced a magnificent comeback from 8-3 down to beat Denis Turner 11-8 as he used all of his experience to take the trophy.
That came after Kings topped his group by three shots ahead of Gill Croft and Jack Livingstone before easing past Graham Arnott 11-5 in the semi-finals after some close opening ends.
Finalist Turner won his group in four close games before leading from start to finish in his 11-3 semi-final win against Malcolm Bird.
In the group stages, Arnott finished two shots ahead of Rick Horton in group A with the tournament’s oldest competitor, Bird, topping group B ahead of Neil Laxton after he won all four of his matches.
Eventual winner Kings took group C whilst Tuner won group D with Derek Green in second place as a total of 20 bowlers took part in the tournament.
