A THRILLING win for The Hart Crown Green Bowling Club’s A team lifted the Redditch side up to third in the table.
Hart secured a dramatic 139-136 three-shot victory against Colebrook A in Division One.
Captain Mike Hancock led the way with an impressive 21-13 win against Simon West.
And further successes from Mick Perrins (21-15), Neil Laxton (21-7) and Jim Mahaffey (21-17) earned Hart a narrow win.
In Division Three, Hart’s B team drew 129-129 against The Bell on a three-ended green.
Phil Hemming (21-16), Neil Harrision (21-10), Keith Morgan (21-11) and Martin Onions (21-8) all produced winning cards.
In the Yardley Wood Superleague Division One, Hart A suffered defeat against Tanworth B.
Captain Kirk Wright (21-18), Tony Moore 21-17 and A team debutant Neil Duggan (21-9) all won their matches.
Hart’s B team moved up to fifth in Division Three with a dominant 160-114 win against Stoke Prior.
Hart had seven winners in total courtesy of Alan Asbury (21-4), Manny Kawycz (21-9), Gill Croft (21-15), Louise Laxton (21-18), Mark Clarke (21-14), Malcolm Bird (21-14) and Harrison (21-19).
In the Heart of England League Division One, Hart A remain top of the table despite a 144-106 defeat against Tanworth A.
Only Pete Davenport (21-6) and Wright (21-13) won their matches.
Hart B claimed a 131-108 win against Tanworth B in Division Three as wins for Perrins (21-1), Anthony Asbury (21-14), N Laxton (21-2) and Hemming (21-7) lifted the Redditch club off the bottom of the table.
Hart’s A team reached the last eight of the Heart of England Over 60s Cup with a 122-94 success against Banbury dropping just four shots in the process.
Mahaffey (21-13), Graham Arnott (21-12) and Mike Estell (21-6) all triumphed while Wright, Ray Richards and Steve Lediard also tasted victory.
Hart will now face Moseley A in a repeat of last year’s final.
However, Hart B suffered a 119-53 defeeat against Triplex A with N Laxton (21-14) the club’s only winner.
In the SWB Over 60s Cup, Hart A slipped to fifth place in Division One after losing 120-87 at Moseley A.
However, Hart B remain top of Division Five following a comfortable 121-72 win against Weoley Hill B.
Hart had five winners in total – Perrins (21-7), Hancock (21-2), Croft (21-12), Hemming (21-16) and L Laxton (21-14).
