WHITE Hart Bowls Club are appealing for new members to join their respective teams ahead of the 2022 season.
The club currently has 11 teams that compete in leagues across the West Midlands and is located behind the White Hart pub on Evesham Road.

Committee member Dave Kings said: “We’re looking for people who have just finished an active sport to take up crown green bowling – at least come and have a look at it and have a go.”
Club chairman Wright added: “I remember thinking, before I’d played the sport, I don’t really fancy that, it’s a bit slow but if you’re competitive then you’ll enjoy it, it’s definitely worth playing.
“Crown Green bowling is far more interesting than the impression that some people have of Bowls in general, and there is no strict dress code.
“It’s a cheap sport to play as well – compared to something like golf – a membership at £50 and new set of bowls at £80 would probably only get you a few rounds of golf at a decent course.”
An annual subscription (April 1st to March 31st the following year) costs £50 plus a one-off payment of £3.50 for a key that gives admittance to the green and clubhouse, which are accessible at all times.
Bowlers who play in the club teams are charged £2 per team match and should new members wish to join and play at this time of year they would be charged £25 and their next full annual subscription of £50 would be due by March 31st 2022.
The club is open all-year round and the green is playable throughout, weather conditions permitting, except for a fortnight at the end of the league season when green maintenance is carried out.
