SIMON Ibekwe, Redditch’s only heavyweight professional boxer, secured a fourth round stoppage win in his latest outing with a dominant performance.

Ibekwe (3-0) beat Darren Sealy by TKO at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham as he overcame his opponent’s height and reach advantage.

And the Redditch fighter also dealt with Sealy’s awkward style to secure a second TKO victory in his three fights as a professional.

Ibekwe outworked Sealy and landed significant shots throughout the contest including a big right which rocked his opponent in the fourth with the referee deciding to end the bout early in the round.

The heavyweight won a number of regional titles as an amateur and trains at Athena Performance gym in Redditch with strength and conditioning coach Richard Bennett.

Ibekwe hopes to add more wins to his professional record over the course of the year and trains in Birmingham under boxing coach Anthony Manning.
