LEO Fanthome secured the first stoppage win of his professional career following a fourth round TKO victory against Ryan Broten.
Fanthome (3-1) punished Broten throughout the fight before referee Peter McCormack stepped in to wave off the bout in the fourth and final round at the Holiday Inn at Birmingham Airport.
And the Redditch fighter hopes to return to the ring in February next year.
Fanthome said: “I would like to thank all of the people who came out to support me and my sponsors.
“Matthew Kelly Building Contractors, Swift Temps Recruitment, Redditch Plastering, Shakespeare Patrol, Alcester Barber Shop, Arrow Metals, Norgrove Studios and NXT Gen Printing and Embroidery.”
Fanthome’s coach, Lee Spare, added: “I thought it was a much more composed and confident performance with Leo having a real powerful and strong output with great shot selection.”
Fanthome weighed in for his fourth fight of the year at 10st 9oz and unloaded a barrage of straight punches and hooks to Broten’s body and head in the opening couple of rounds.
More unanswered punches followed in round three before Fanthome eventually forced referee McCormack to jump in and call an end to the fight.
