THERE was plenty for Bromsgrove & Redditch Athletic Club runners to smile about following some impressive results at Saturday’s Worcestershire Cross Country Championships at Newbold Revel near Rugby, where a pleasant day and relatively flat, dry and fast course greeted competitors.

Held in conjunction with the Warwickshire Cross Country Championships and with certain races combining different age groups, the event on this new course was keenly contested.
