ALVECHURCH have confirmed the appointment of interim boss Kyle Storer as the club’s new permanent first team manager.
Storer led the club on an interim basis in the wake of Tim Flowers’ resignation last month and guided Church to two wins from three matches.
And Church have now appointed Storer on a permanent basis with experienced coach Mark Yates to assist Storer at Lye Meadow.
Yates has managed more than 600 games in a managerial career spanning 15 years which includes stints in charge of Kidderminster Harriers, Cheltenham Town and Solihull Moors.
Alvechurch chairman, Richard Thorndike said: “It was an easy and very quick decision to change Stoz’s position from interim to permanent.
“Wherever he has played previously, he has always ended up with the armband because he’s a natural leader.
“Looking at how he prepared the squad for the last three games, together with how well he leads on and off the grass, makes us extremely confident that he’s the right man to take us forward.
“Having Mark Yates as his number two feels like a master stroke and we are absolutely delighted to have someone of his experience on board.”
Storer’s first game as permanent Alvechurch boss comes against Real Bedford on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Lye Meadow.
