ALVECHURCH lost for the first time under interim boss Kyle Storer after slipping to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Needham Market.
The game’s only goal came on 35 minutes as Ryan Miles’ first-half strike settled the contest at Bloomfields.
And the result means Church sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table.
The club appointed experienced manager Mark Yates to assist interim boss Storer ahead of the fixture.
Storer won his first game at the helm following the resignation of former boss Tim Flowers.
However, Church succumbed to Miles’ goal in the first half when Miles swivelled in the box and found the bottom corner to finish off a flowing move.
Alvechurch are next in action against Boldmere St Michaels on Tuesday, December 2 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Amber Arena.
