ALVECHURCH moved eight points clear of the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory away at struggling AFC Sudbury.
Church led inside the first minute courtesy of Emmanuel Ilesanmi’s goal only for Kaidon Tower-King to draw Sudbury level at Brundon Lane.
However, Felix Miles put the visitors back in front early in the second half as Church returned to winning ways at struggling Sudbury.
The result means Alvechurch sit 15th in the Southern League Premier Central table, eight points above the drop zone.
Church made a blistering start and broke the deadlock inside 60 seconds when Ilesanmi volleyed home a low ball in from the left to stun the home side.
However, Sudbury equalised on 16 minutes as Tower-King worked space for a shot and fired a low effort into the bottom right corner from 15-yards out.
The visitors reclaimed the lead on 52 minutes when Miles raced on to a ball in-behind the Sudbury defence and coolly finished past the goalkeeper.
Alvechurch are next in action against Barwell on Friday, April 3 with kick-off at 3pm at Lye Meadow.
