ALVECHURCH inched closer to safety following a 1-1 draw against St Ives Town in midweek.
Church led through Emmanuel Ilesanmi’s goal only for Neo Dobson to draw the visitors level after the break at Lye Meadow.
The result means Alvechurch sit 15th in the Southern League Premier Central table, six points clear of the relegation zone.
Church broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Ilesanmi finished from close range to put the home side ahead at the break.
However, St Ives equalised on 63 minutes as Dobson produced a cool finish past Redman Evans from Theo Alexandrou’s pass.
Alvechurch are next in action against AFC Sudbury on Saturday, March 28 with kick-off at 3pm at Brundon Lane.
