ALVECHURCH secured their first league win of the season with a 2-0 home victory against AFC Sudbury.
Goals either side of half time from Josh Dugmore and Jonathan Ngandu sealed victory for Church at Lye Meadow.
The result means Alvechurch sit eighth in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Church broke the deadlock on 43 minutes when Callum Sullivan’s cutback bobbled up into the path of Dugmore who lashed a shot into the roof of the net from close range.
The home side almost double their lead after the break when a Sudbury defender deflected Shay Willock’s cross onto his own post.
However, Alvechurch eventually sealed the points four minutes from time as Ngandu fired a shot back across goal from 20-yards out into the bottom right corner.
Alvechurch are next in action against Barwell on Saturday, August 23 with kick-off at 3pm at Kirkby Road.
