ALVECHURCH slipped to an agonising 1-0 defeat against Spalding United after conceding in injury time.
A stoppage time strike from Bartosz Cybulski inflicted a first league defeat on Church under new boss Tim Flowers at Lye Meadow.
The result means Alvechurch sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table, three points above the relegation zone.
The game looked set to end goalless before Cybulski turned home Nathan Fox’s cross from the left in the first minute of injury time.
Alvechurch are next in action against Stourbridge in the Worcestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday, December 17 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Lye Meadow.
