ALVECHURCH came from two goals down to beat Boldmere St Michaels 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller and advance in the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Church recovered from an early two-goal deficit as injury-time strikes from Sam Perry and Dieter Schwarm sealed the away side’s place in the next round at the Amber Arena.
After Boldmere raced into a two-goal lead, Jessy Bavanganga halved the deficit before Elliot Dugan drew the visitors level early in the second half.
Boldmere reclaimed the lead almost immediately before Tope Obadeyi’s penalty drew Church level and the visitors went on to win the game in injury time.
Alvechurch play one level above Boldmere who ply their trade in the Northern Premier League Midlands division.
Boldmere broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Jack Burgess netted on debut for the home side from a free-kick.
And the hosts doubled their lead on 28 minutes when Freddie Cockerell found the net.
However, Church responded on 36 minutes as Bavanganga headed in from a free-kick before Dugan levelled the game five minutes after the break.
Boldmere went back in front virtually straight from the restart when Ben Lund pounced to stun the visitors.
Church equalised for a second time on 76 minutes as Obadeyi scored from the penalty spot.
And Kyle Storer’s side completed the turnaround in injury time as Perry and Schwarm both struck to send Church through to the third round.
Alvechurch are next in action against Real Bedford on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Lye Meadow.
