REECE Flanagan scored a brace as Redditch United romped to a convincing 4-0 home win against Kettering Town.

Flanagan struck twice after the break after goals from Danny King and Fabian Reynolds put the hosts in command at the Valley Stadium.

The result means Redditch sit fourth in the Southern League Premier Central table.

Mike Fowler’s side made the perfect start as King broke the deadlock after just four minutes when he won back possession inside the Kettering penalty area and saw his shot deflect off a defender and loop into the net.

And Redditch doubled their lead two minutes before half time when King played a ball across the face of goal from the right and Reynolds finished from close range.

The Reds all but sealed the points on 52 minutes as Flanagan coolly found the bottom right corner via the aid of the post from Reynolds’ pass.

And Flanagan completed the scoring on 79 minutes from the penalty spot after Kettering’s Anthony Stewart handled the ball in the box.

Redditch are next in action against Alvechurch on Monday, October 20 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Valley Stadium.
