JIMMY Fry has challenged Redditch United to ‘attack’ the final nine games of the season following victory against St Ives Town.
The Reds scored two second-half goals in a 2-0 victory at the Valley Stadium as Alex Cameron and Dexter Dudley-Toole found the net.
United sit fifth in the Southern League Premier Central table, one point clear of the chasing pack in the race for a play-off spot.
And Reds assistant manager Fry
Fry said: “Performance-wise we were nowhere near our levels. It was nowhere near good enough in the first half.
“We fell well below the standard and we asked for a reaction at half time and we got one.
“In general, we can be loads better than that. We turned it up slightly in the second half and played on the front foot.
“It’s job done from a result point of view because we’re in the run-in and it’s about the result.
“All of standards are really high and we’ve got to make sure we’re attacking the last nine games of the season.
“We’re all relishing it. This is what we’re in the game for. We want to attack games and that’s when we’re at our best.”
Redditch are next in action against Bury Town on Saturday, March 14 with kick-off at 3pm at Ram Meadow.
