RYAN Wollacott’s injury time header earned Redditch United an impressive point away at runaway league leaders Mickleover in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Wollacott rose highest to head home a last gasp equaliser after Alex Cameron opened the scoring for Matt Clarke’s side at Station Road.

And the result means Redditch sit fourth in the Southern League Premier Central table, one point inside the play-off places.

The Reds took the lead on 26 minutes when a long ball ran through to Cameron who produced an excellent first time finish past Mickleover goalkeeper Oliver Bosworth.

However, the home side drew level on the half-hour mark as Ethan Mann headed a free-kick into the top-left corner of the goal.

Mickleover completed the turnaround in the second half on 73 minutes as Ben Sault fired a first time shot past Adam Harrison from Oliver Greaves’s cutback.

However, the Reds equalised at the death as Wollacott rose superbly to head Brad Burton’s cross into the bottom right corner of the goal.

The draw means United are just the second team to take points off of the league leaders this season and the first to do so at Mickleover’s Station Road home.

Redditch are next in action at home to Ashton United on Saturday, October 28 in the FA Trophy with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
