REDDITCH Borough have parted ways with manager Tyrone Henderson and have replaced him with Rob Bruce.
Henderson leaves Borough 10th in the Hellenic League Division One table following his appointment as Redditch boss in the summer of 2024.
He initially joined Borough as assistant manager to John Edwards in the summer of 2023 before stepping up to become manager the following year.
Henderson helped Redditch achieve a historic promotion from Midland Football League Division Two in 2023/24.
In his first season in charge, he took Borough to the Hellenic League Division One play-offs as runners-up only to lose to Wantage Town in the semi-finals.
A club statement read: “It is with heavy heart that Redditch Borough Football Club announces the departure of men’s senior team manager Tyrone Henderson by mutual consent.
“Ty played a huge part in creating lifelong memories through our Midland Football League Division Two title success in 2024 and guiding us to finish runners-up in our first season at Step Six.
“It is no secret that this season has been challenging and both Ty and the club felt it was the right time to seek a different approach.
“Ty is a great friend to all at the club and has been from day one.
“We will always be grateful for his tireless effort and drive that influenced our club scaling new heights, he will always be welcome at Borough and we wish him the very best with whatever the future holds.”
Henderson added: “Borough has been a big part of my life for the last three years. We have had some great times together, winning the league and reaching the play-offs straight after promotion.
“This season has been tough. While it was not an easy decision, it felt like the right time to step away but I want to thank everyone involved for their part in what we have achieved together and I wish Borough every success for the future.”
Borough have acted swiftly to replace Henderson with Bruce with Steve Court to assist the latter in his new role.
