REDDITCH United chairman David Faulkner has issued a rallying call to the club’s supporters, expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming backing the team has received this season.

Matt Clarke’s side sit fifth in the Southern League Premier Central table with Redditch experiencing some of the highest matchday attendances in the club’s history.

And Faulkner attributes this surge in support to the remarkable success of the club’s schemes and increased community engagement.

Faulkner said: “Our supporters are the lifeblood of Redditch United, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate and dedicated fan base.

“The surge in attendance is a reflection of the growing connection between the club and our community.”

The Reds launched half-season tickets last week, valid from Boxing Day, saving supporters 39 per cent off of regular matchday prices and includes local derbies against Alvechurch and Bromsgrove Sporting.

Faulkner added: “Our supporters can look forward to some thrilling matches in the coming weeks, and we wanted to make it even more accessible for them to be part of the action.

“The half-season tickets are our way of saying thank you for the incredible support we’ve received. Growing our match day gates has always been a massive priority.

“We have some huge non-league clubs in our division this season, despite us doubling our attendance over the past few years, we need to continue to grow.

“Other teams in our league have double the attendances we have and so double the financial resources.

“Matt has done a fantastic job so far this year and we currently sit above all of our local rivals yet again.

“If we are to make a push to get out of this division it must first start with rising up the average attendance league table to make sure our progression is sustainable.

“Our half-season ticket will provide adults entry at just over £7 a game, concession prices are even lower.

“If you are wondering what the action is like, take a look at Reece Flanagan’s free kick from Saturday on our YouTube channel. Those few seconds alone are worth every penny.”
