REDDITCH United chairman David Faulkner represented the club as a guest panel speaker at the FA’s Thriving Community Clubs ‘Better Everywhere’ Conference.

The national event brought together County FA staff from across England to share ideas, success stories and best practice around how football clubs can continue to deliver meaningful social impact in their communities.

And the FA invited Faulkner to share Redditch’s journey in using the FA’s social value calculator to help shape the club’s social impact report.

The report valued the club’s social impact at £3.9million and highlighted the vital role the club plays in improving health, well-being, education and community cohesion across Redditch and the wider area.

A video produced 18 months ago by club partners Reddit introduced Redditch to the other attendees at the conference.

Speaking after the event, Faulkner said: “It was a real privilege to be invited by The FA to share the Redditch United story and to see how our approach to measuring social value is helping others across the game.

“Football clubs at every level play such a vital role in their communities, and it’s fantastic that The FA is recognising and supporting that through events like this.

“A big thank you also goes to Birmingham County FA for their ongoing support of everything we’re doing at the club.”
