REDDITCH United dropped out of the play-off places after conceding three late goals in a 4-1 home defeat against Real Bedford.
The Reds took the lead after the break courtesy of Alex Foreshaw’s goal only for Josh Allen to draw the visitors level at the Valley Stadium.
And a late brace from Ben Stevens left the Reds stunned before Jack Morrell completed the scoring for play-off bound Bedford in injury time.
The result means Redditch sit seventh in the Southern League Premier Central table, one point outside of the play-off places.
Mike Fowler’s side broke the deadlock on 57 minutes when Foreshaw rose highest to head in Tyler Bruck’s corner from the left from five-yards out.
However, Bedford equalised seven minutes later as Allen diverted Stevens’ initial effort past a wrong-footed Joe Neeson from close range.
And the visitors completed the turnaround on 83 minutes when Stevens worked space for a shot and fired an effort into the net via the aid of the post from 20-yards out.
Stevens struck again five minutes later with a reverse shot into the bottom left corner from Ben Weyman’s pass.
And the visitors rubbed salt in the wounds deep into injury time as Morrell slammed home from close range after substitute goalkeeper Stan Amos could only parry Weyman’s initial strike.
Redditch are next in action against Kettering Town on Tuesday, April 14 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Latimer Park.
