REDDITCH United exited the FA Cup at the second round qualifying stage following a 3-0 defeat away at higher-division Buxton.
Mike Fowler’s side matched their opponents in the first half only for the National League North side to score three goals after the break at Silverlands Stadium.
The game remained goalless until the 55-minute mark when Luke Brennan scored from the penalty spot after Joe Hull committed a foul on the edge of the penalty area.
And the home side doubled their lead on 67 minutes as Tai Sodje rounded Reds goalkeeper Tyrese Warmington before finishing into an empty net.
Buxton sealed their place in the next round of the competition five minutes from time when Sodje produced a clinical finish when one-on-one with Warmington.
Redditch are next in action against Stourbridge on Saturday, September 20 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
