REDDITCH United have made three new signings ahead of their derby clash against local rivals Bromsgrove Sporting.

Matt Clarke has bolstered his squad with the signings of Ben Lomax, Kieran Brown and Cyrus Babaie.

Lomax joins on loan from League Two side Port Vale and spent time on loan with Peterborough Sports in the National League North earlier this season.

The 19-year-old defender plays at centre-back and has featured three times for the Valiants.

Brown arrives on loan from League Two club Notts County.

The 20-year-old operates as a wing-back and spent time on loan at Mickleover earlier this campaign.

Babaie has also linked up with the Reds after making a flying start to the season at Step Three with Biggleswade Town.

The striker scored 11 goals for Biggleswade, including seven in the league, and will add some much-needed firepower to the Redditch attack.

Clarke said: “Ben is someone we have tried to sign before after his successful loan spell at Peterborough Sports. He’s a good athlete and very composed on the ball, he will be a very good addition for the rest of the season.

“I’m really pleased to get Cyrus in. His move from Biggleswade hasn’t gone according to plan but is still one of the leading scorers at Biggleswade and hopefully, he will bring much-needed goals during the final month of the season.”

Redditch host Bromsgrove on Saturday, March 29 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
