REDDITCH United moved up to third in the table with a 2-0 victory at St Ives Town as the Reds inflicted a first home defeat of the season on their opponents.
Goals from Liam Loughlan and Alex Cameron either side of half time at Westwood Road earned Reddtich a sixth win in their last seven league matches.
The result means Mike Fowler’s side sit third in the Southern League Premier Central table, six points behind leaders Harborough Town who have a game in-hand.
Redditch broke the deadlock on 21 minutes when Loughlan’s header crept over the line despite the best efforts of former Reds goalkeeper Ollie Taylor to keep the ball out.
And United doubled their lead on 52 minutes as Cameron forced home Fabian Reynolds’ cross from the left at the back post from close range.
Redditch are next in action against league leaders Harborough on Tuesday, November 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Community Football Ground.
