REDDITCH United have signed Harry Emmett from Gloucester City on a one-month loan deal.
The 23-year-old reunites with former Gloucester boss Tim Flowers at the Valley Stadium after winning the club’s young player of the year award last season.
The versatile left-sided player impressed in the National League North last season despite picking up a serious shoulder injury at the end of January which kept him out for the rest of the campaign.
Flowers said: “Harry is a lad that I brought in at Gloucester before pre-season last year. He’s a young lad who can play left back, left wing back and left winger.
“He’s a good honest lad, has good attributes, he’s energetic, gets up and down the pitch, not scared of a tackle and he’ll contribute well to the team.
“We’re now covering most positions and he’ll offer us width, energy and certainly commitment down that side.
“At this moment in time, it is just an initial 28-day loan so we’ll see if that develops from either us or Gloucester City.
“He’s a lad that I’ve worked with before and has shown me that he’s got the tenacity to want to progress in the game, and is still a decent young age.
“He still thinks he can push on and develop himself so hopefully we can help him with that and we’re looking forward to seeing him over the next month or so.”
Redditch have also signed Max Martin on loan from Solihull Moors until the start of January.
The 19 year old can play in defence or midfield and featured for Moors throughout pre-season.
He spent time on loan at Hednesford Town and Sporting Khalsa last season.
And the Reds have also signed 18-year-old midfielder Reuben Wyatt on a season-long work experience loan from League One side Northampton Town.
He joins the club as the LFE League One apprentice of the year and made his first start for the Cobblers in an EFL Trophy match against Milton Keynes Dons in 2022.
Wyatt spent the second half of last season on loan at AFC Rushden and Diamonds.
Flowers said: “Reuben is a lad I’ve been talking to Northampton about prior to pre-season. He’s been involved with the Cobblers throughout their pre-season and has made a few first team appearances. We were aware we couldn’t take him until late on in pre-season, so it was just a case of waiting.
“He’s a guy that the recruitment team at Northampton think very highly of. He has a good right foot, excellent set-piece delivery and is of course very technically strong. They think highly of him and want to develop him into men’s senior football. He played at Step Four last year with AFC Rushden and Diamonds so want him to push on further this season.
“He arrives on a youth loan and in his first training session he looked well organised, sharp and technically excellent. He will get some game time, whether he starts or comes off the bench, to integrate him into the squad with the lads. I’m delighted to welcome Reuben and look forward to working with him.”
