MIKE Fowler has signed three players from former club Solihull Moors as he looks to bolster his Redditch United squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The Reds have signed goalkeeper Aaron Flahavan, midfielder Morgan Owen and forward Tyler Bruck after Solihull released all three players.
The trio become the club’s first signings of the summer after Robbie Bunn and Aram Soleman committed their futures to the club earlier in the transfer window.
Fowler said: “Az is a fantastic lad with huge potential. His all-around game is very good, technically one of the best I have seen.
“He’s had good exposure around Step One and has had a few good non-league loans.
“His distribution, athleticism and bravery are key reasons why he is the perfect number one for us.
“Can’t wait to see him in a Redditch shirt.
“I’m really pleased that [Morgan] has chosen to join us despite having plenty of options.
“I was really shocked that he became available, but I moved quickly to secure him on contract for the season ahead.
“Mogs has an incredible ability to control games and will be integral to the way we play.
“He can dictate the game with the ball, and he can also do the other side of the game just as well.
“He’s a player I have worked with for five years, and he has a huge career ahead of him.
“I’m delighted that Tyler has decided to be a part of our project. He is a player that I know very well. I have worked with him for the last five years and his development has been incredible.
“He will become a fan’s favourite here due to his work rate, passion for the game and his goalscoring.
“He was liked a lot by the management at Solihull and was unlucky not to be kept on.
“Their loss will undoubtedly be our gain, and another player that will be secured on contract this season.”
Flahavan spent time in the academies of Southampton, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Birmingham City.
The 20-year-old later joined Moors and made his debut for the club in the National League in the 2023/24 campaign.
His father, Darryl, made more than 400 appearances in the Football League with the likes of Southend United, Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth.
Darryl is currently the goalkeeping coach at League One side Plymouth Argyle.
Midfielder Owen had two loan spells with the Reds over the past couple of seasons.
The 20-year-old made six appearances for Moors in the National League.
And Bruck has also linked up with former boss Fowler.
The 20-year-old scored five goals in just four starts for Moors in cup competitions and featured five times from the bench in the National League.
Bruck previously spent time on loan at Bromsgrove Sporting, AFC Telford United and Banbury United.
His grandfather, Dietmar, was Redditch’s player-manager back in the 1977/78 season.
