KERON Jackson still believes in his side after Redditch United lost 3-0 away at league leaders Needham Market to suffer a third consecutive defeat.
After Jamie McGrath opened the scoring shortly before the break, a Ryan Wollacott own goal and Luke Ingram strike sealed the points for Needham at Bloomfields.
And despite the Reds suffering a third straight league defeat for the first time this season, assistant manager Jackson has full faith his side will turn their form around against play-off rivals Leamington this weekend.
Jackson said: “We know we’ve got to be better as a group, the focus now is the game this weekend, I still believe in this group one hundred per cent, we’ve got good characters and good players.
“We’re going through a blip at the minute, all the teams at the top have gone through a blip, it’s just unfortunate ours has come now.
“Leamington are a very good team, we’ve got the quality to turn up and get a positive result and I back this group.
“I was disappointed with the first goal, we had a gameplan, Needham are unbeaten at home, you’ve got to be on it, the minute someone switches off you get punished.”
Needham broke the deadlock on 40 minutes when McGrath found the bottom right corner from the edge of the penalty area.
And the home side doubled their lead six minutes into the second period as a cross from the right deflected into the net off Reds defender Wollacott.
Needham completed the scoring on 59 minutes when Ingram’s shot from distance went through the hands of Reds goalkeeper Adam Harrison.
Redditch host Leamington on Saturday, March 23 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
