REDDITCH United surrendered an early lead to lose 2-1 away at Mickleover as Matt Clarke’s side suffered a narrow defeat in Derbyshire.
Danny King broke the deadlock only for the home side to equalise almost straight from the restart and then complete the turnaround in the second half at the Don Amott Arena.
And the result means Redditch sit eighth in the Southern League Premier Central table with one match left to play.
The Reds took the lead on 15 minutes when King poked home Bernard Mensah’s driven cross from close range after good work from Reece Flanagan.
However, Mickleover took less than a minute to equalise as Andrew Dales fired a sensational effort into the top corner to leave Adam Harrison with no chance.
And Mickleover completed the turnaround on 65 minutes when substitute Dolan found the top left corner from the edge of the penalty area.
The home side had a chance to seal the points on 76 minutes only for Harrison to dive to his right and hold Elliott Reeves’s penalty after the same player was fouled in the box.
Redditch play Stourport Swifts in the Worcestershire Senior Cup final on Tuesday, April 18 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Bromsgrove Sporting’s Victoria Ground.
