REDDITCH United returned to winning ways on Monday night with a 3-1 victory against Needham Market to end a five-game winless run in all competitions.
Ryan Wollacott, Robbie Bunn and Max Sheaf were all on target for the Reds after Lewis Hudson’s late goal rescued a point in a 1-1 draw with Hednesford Town last weekend at the Trico Stadium.
The results leave Redditch in eighth place in the Southern League Premier Central table.
And Wollacott opened the scoring on 20 minutes against Needham when he met Reece Flanagan’s corner at full stretch to prod the ball home.
Needham drew level just four minutes later when Jacob Lay beat Reds debutant Adam Harrison before Bunn restored Redditch’s lead with a drilled effort into the bottom right corner from Bernard Mensah’s pass.
The game was settled on 71 minutes when Sheaf reacted quickest to turn home the loose ball after Ryan Boothe’s effort came back off the underside of the crossbar.
Redditch are next in action away at Kings Langley on Saturday, December 17 with kick-off at 3pm at Gaywood Park.
