SPORTING Club Inkberrow claimed an impressive 3-1 win at former league leaders and previously unbeaten Corsham Town.
Goals from Max-Emilios Angelides, Jay Higgins-Pugsley and substitute Will Skelton sealed a fine victory for the visitors at Southbank.
The result means Inkberrow sit sixth in the Hellenic League Premier Division table.
Sporting made the perfect start when Angelides scored directly from a corner after just six minutes.
The away side almost doubled their lead when Higgins-Pugsley’s shot cannoned back off the crossbar from Jack Tolley’s deep cross.
However, Inkberrow’s second goal soon arrived as Higgins-Pugsley scored high to the goalkeeper’s right after combining well with Tolley.
Corsham halved the deficit on 70 minutes when Dylan Lewis fired home from the penalty spot after drawing a foul in the box.
The visitors sealed the points two minutes from time as Skelton forced the ball home from close range.
Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action against Hereford Pegasus on Monday, September 30 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Old School Lane.
