SPORTING Club Inkberrow surrendered a first-half lead to draw 1-1 with local rivals Pershore Town.
The visitors broke the lead through Jay Higgins-Pugsley only for Aidan Clark to level for the Plums before the break at the Community Stadium.
And the result means Sporting sit eighth in the Hellenic League Premier Division table after three matches.
The game started at a frantic pace before Inkberrow took the lead on 28 minutes as Will Skelton held up Jack Tolley’s pass and laid the ball into the path of Higgins-Pugsley who produced a fine finish into the bottom right corner.
However, Pershore equalised two minutes before half time as Clark finished well after Inkberrow failed to properly clear their lines.
The visitors almost snatched the points in the second half as Skelton took the ball around the goalkeeper only for Pershore to clear off the line as the game ended all square.
Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action against Longlevens AFC on Tuesday, August 13 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Sands Road.
