SPORTING Club Inkberrow drew 0-0 with Worcester Raiders to extend their unbeaten start to the season to six matches.

Chances were at a premium throughout at Sands Road with neither side able to make the breakthrough in front of a decent crowd.

The result means Inkberrow sit fifth in the Hellenic League Premier Division table.

The only meaningful chance of the first half saw Worcester’s Connor Deards shoot wide following some confusion in the Sporting defence.

Inkberrow spurned a golden chance to take the lead after the break as Jack Tolley saw his powerful shot parried by Raiders goalkeeper Charlie Emery when clean through on goal.

Both teams missed chances to take the points late on as Sporting goalkeeper Gabriel Bajrami denied Jordan Edwards before Will Skelton headed straight at Emery from six-yards out at the other end.

Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action against Lydney Town on Tuesday, September 3 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Sands Road.
