SPORTING Club Inkberrow secured their place in the end of season play-offs with a 2-0 victory at Tytherington Rocks.
Inkberrow made sure of a top-five finish thanks to goals from Gregor Guy and Connor Stanley at Hardwicke Playing Field.
The result means Inkberrow sit fourth in the Hellenic League Division One table with two matches left to play.
Sporting broke the deadlock on 11 minutes when Stanley eluded the Tytherington defence picking out Guy who hammered the ball home from the edge of the penalty area.
And Stanley doubled Inkberrow’s lead on 37 minutes when he slid the ball home from close range from Tom Emblem’s cross.
Sporting had chances to stretch their lead but defended well against the wind in the second period to seal a play-off place with two games to spare.
Inkberrow are next in action FC Stratford on Tuesday, April 9 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
