SPORTING Club Inkberrow saw their 11-game unbeaten run in the league come to an end following a 3-2 defeat at Lydney Town.

Inkberrow found themselves three goals down when Bill Coughlin received a second yellow card at Lydney Recreation Ground.

However, Sporting’s 10-men almost produced a remarkable comeback as Gregor Guy and substitute Raheem Spencer reduced the deficit late on.

The result means Inkberrow sit third in the Hellenic League Premier Division table, four points behind leaders Hartpury University who have three games in-hand.

Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action against Bewdley Town in the Marsh Challenge Cup on Tuesday, February 4 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Ribbesford Meadows.
