KIERAN Wakefield’s goal inspired Alvechurch to a 1-0 victory at Bury Town as Church sealed a fifth straight win in all competitions.
Wakefield scored the game’s only goal on 63 minutes at Ram Meadow as Tim Flowers’ side secured a third successive win in the league without conceding.
The result means Alvechurch sit third in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Wakefield won the game for Church on 63 minutes when he kept his cool to fire a shot under Bury goalkeeper Charlie Beckwith from close range.
Alvechurch are next in action against Worcester City on Tuesday, September 23 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Sixways Stadium.
