LILI-ROSE Hunt helped England to victory at the Girls’ Home Internationals after overcoming Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the three-day tournament at Lindrick Golf Club.
Rose-Hunt, from Redditch, starred for her country along with Amelia Wan and Nellie Ong as England beat Scotland 6-3, Wales 7-2 and Ireland 8-1 in the girls section.
And the girls’ efforts ensured England came home with the overall trophy after the boys lost out in their section to Ireland.
Rose-Hunt won all of the matches she was part of across three foursomes and three singles games which included two big wins in the singles by six-and-five and five-and-four.
She was one of three players to pick up maximum points from her matches along with Wan and Ong.
Women’s and girls’ assistant performance manager, India Clyburn, said: “It’s been a great watch and a great tournament for the girls.
“There was a lot of good golf on the final day so we had to win a lot of holes with birdies.
“Special mention must go to Nellie, Lili and Amelia for securing all six points but it really was an outstanding performance from the entire team.
“We’re very pleased and proud of them all.”
