REDDITCH Hockey Club enjoyed a superb clean sweep of victories across their respective teams this past weekend.
The men’s first team secured their first win of the season with a 3-1 home win against Stone as Harrison Young, James Browning and Josh Brown all found the net.
And the ladies’ first team clinched a dramatic 5-4 win against Worcester 2nds as Marie-Anne Irons scored her second hat-trick in as many games with Lydia Hood and Anna Dawson also on target.
The men’s 2nds eased to a 7-2 win against Olton 5ths as Paul Markham, Martyn Strong and Lee Beedon all scored braces with Matt Walton also finding the net.
And the ladies’ 2nds were also big winners with a 6-0 victory against Harborne 5ths, scoring all of their goals inside the first 30 minutes as Louise Jennings scored twice while Sophie E, Becki Clarke, Alice W and Elsie S all struck.
The men’s third team beat fellow promoted side Sutton 7ths 3-1 with Marshall Glen marking his return with two goals while Anthony Brookes also found the net from a penalty corner.
Lastly, the men’s 4th team claimed a 5-0 walkover win with their opponents unable to field a team.
