REDDITCH-based Furi Sutairu Karate Federation in Redditch came away from the National Championships in Peterborough with a number of medals.
Shihan Dave Treadwell and students Cleo McFarlane and Josh Smith all won gold in the Peterborough Championship Series.
Both McFarlane and Smith are part of the ICO England team which will take part in the World Championships later this year.
And nine-year-old McFarlane won gold in traditional kata, silver in weapon kata and bronze in creative kata.
FSK’s Smith also impressed as the 13-year-old won gold in weapon kata and creative kata and silver in 16-plus weapon kata and traditional kata.
And Shihan Treadwell also claimed top honours as he won gold in traditional kata.
Treadwell said: “It was a fantastic event and great to be able to compete with my students.
“They have both put so much effort in to prepare for the event and it was seen with their medals.”
