FURI Sutairu Shotokan Karate (FSK) Redditch competed at the first Kibou National Karate Championships.
FSK Redditch, run by 6th Dan Shihan Dave Treadwell who is a current GB coach and squad member, were taking part in their first event of the year.
The squad impressed competing against more than 200 other martial arts students and achieved podium finishes in kata, team kata, weapon kata and kumite.
Shihan Treadwell said, “What an amazing day and the team performed brilliantly, they are all winners by showcasing their skills in front of such a large audience of 500 people.
“The skill levels of the competitors on the day from all clubs was amazing.”
The event was the first of the Kibou 3 series competition circuit while the club will also be taking members to the European Championships in London in July.
