STUDENTS from Furi Sutairu Shotokan Karate (FSK), based in Redditch, continue to produce results.
The students took part in a Black Belt Dan grading under the watchful eye of Shihan 6th Dan Dave Treadwell and Shihan 7th Dan Len Norman from Tokon Do Karate Union.
Students undertook a two and a half hour physical and mental test, covering Khion Kata and Kumite.
And the following students all obtained their grades: Emily Buckingham 1st Dan, Josh Thorp 1st Dan, Andrew Durham 1st Dan, Anton Reid 2nd Dan and Jenny Felton 2nd Dan.
Elsewhere, students from FSK and Shihan Treadwell himself have been selected to compete in the World Martial Arts Games which takes place in the United States of America in July 2023 as part of 60 other athletes part of the GB team.
Shihan Treadwell will also coach the team over the coming months to get athletes ready for the event.
The following FSK students will be on the plane to the USA next year: Josh Thorp, Dean Cooke, Theo Giles, Cleo Mcfralan and Ollie Scott.
