FSK Redditch won three European titles at the WUMA European Championships at Perdiswell Leisure Centre in Worcester.

Sensei Dave Treadwell and his students continued to shine as they prepare for next year’s World Martial Arts Games in the United States.

FSK’s Josh Thorp won gold in the under-16 Kata before claiming silver in the Team Kata alongside Theo Giles and Sensei Treadwell.

And Giles claimed gold in the under-16 Creative Kata before taking bronze in the Weapons Kata category to come away with three medals overall.

Sensei Treadwell also enjoyed success with gold in the senior Individual Kata along with the aforementioned silver in the Team Kata category.

Treadwell said: “I’m a proud Sensei again. It was the first time we had competed together in Team Kata so to take second was a great achievement.

“They were all hard categories with over 500 entries from around Europe and my students performed to a superb level and now FSK has added to its haul with three European titles.

“Your input determines your output and these students are performing week in week out with results like this.”

The Redditch club came close to winning gold in the Team Kata only to be pipped into silver at the second attempt having initially tied with first place.
