REDDITCH sealed promotion to the West Midlands Premier Division when scheduled visitors Newtown conceded Saturday’s fixture due to a lack of players.
The 3-0 walkover win – the Kingfishers’ final match of the season – clinched runners-up spot in West Midlands Division One behind champions West Bromwich.
REDDITCH 2nds completed an unbeaten season in 2nd Team League West Midlands Division Two with an 8-2 victory at Kings Heath Pickwick.
The Kingfishers won 13 games and drew one to top the pile with 40 points, seven above runners-up Bromsgrove.
Saturday’s scorers were Lee Beedon (3), Rich Sellors (2), Dan Waite (2) and Alex Ward.
The 3rds were beaten 2-0 at home by 3rd Team League West Midlands Division One leaders Bromsgrove, whilst the 4ths, Ladies’ 1sts and Badgers also lost.
