ALCESTER RFC suffered a fifth straight league defeat after losing 30-17 against high-flying Camp Hill on the club’s president’s day.
Tries from Will Silk, Dwayne Cruickshank and Owen Binns proved in vain for Alcester at Kings Coughton.
The result means Alcester sit fifth in the Counties 1 Midlands West (South) table.
Camp Hill scored an early try to take the lead before Silk touched down for Alcester and Ed Gough converted.
And Alcester turned the game on its head when Cruickshank and Binns exchanged passes on the wing and the former dotted down the home side’s second try.
Camp Hill crossed for their second try in the corner and reclaimed the lead on the half-hour mark with a converted try.
And the visitors scored their bonus point try under the posts before the interval to take a 12-point lead into the break.
Alcester lost Silk to the sin-bin for a dangerous tackle early in the second half but rallied on his return to the field.
Lewis Wright gained territory up the pitch before the ball reached Binns who scored Alcester’s third try.
Camp Hill lost a player to the sin-bin for an off-the-ball tackle and went down to 13-men for persistent infringement at the scrum.
However, Alcester were unable to make the two-man advantage count before a red card ended the home side’s hopes of a comeback as Camp Hill kicked a pair of late penalties.
Alcester are next in action against Barkers Butts on Saturday, March 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Kings Coughton.
Elsewhere, the club’s second team won 50-7 away at Berkswell and Balsall 2nds.
Alcester named three different sets of brothers and one father in their squad.
Harry Roderick, Noah Birks and AJ Bennett all crossed twice while Toby Birks and Dylan Robson also dotted down with Freddie White kicking five conversions.
