REDDITCH RFC are hoping to raise funds for the upcoming 2025/26 season by completing a sponsored 60-mile walk up the Malvern Hills.

The Kingfishers will set off from the clubhouse at their Bromsgrove Road home and trek to the highest point of the Malvern Hills.

And the players will then walk from the summit of the Malvern Hills back to the clubhouse all within a 24-hour period.

The sponsored walk will begin at around 7pm on Friday, August 8 and end at around 7pm the following day on Saturday, August 9.

A large number of the first team squad will take part in the sponsored walk which covers a distance of around 60 miles.

The club have launched a fundraising page with a target of £2k. More than £700 has been raised so far.

Any donations will go towards essential equipment, ground maintenance and everyday costs associated with running a rugby club.

Redditch have appointed a new coaching team ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Tom Saddington will lead the new-look coaching team assisted by Stuart Brookes.

The club have also teamed up with insurance brokers Howden who are Redditch’s main sponsors for the upcoming season.

Howden and fellow sponsors AMCO have provided Redditch with a new kit which reflects the club’s traditional navy and light blue colours.
