REDDITCH RFC lost 31-5 away at Old Halesonians as the Kingfishers slipped to a third straight defeat in the league.
Dan Oscroft scored Redditch’s only try as the Kingfishers once again struggled to put points on the board at Wassell Grove Lane.
And the result means Redditch sit eighth in the Counties 4 Midlands West (South) table.
Redditch struggled to break down a resilient Old Halesonians defence before the home side capitalised on a couple of yellow cards to run in two tries following several phases on the Kingfishers line.
However, Redditch remained competitive and stole the ball at a couple of lineouts while the visiting pack drove forward to gain territory at every opportunity.
And the Kingfishers scored their only try through Oscroft after Will Heath’s superb kick helped Redditch up the pitch only for Archie Beddard to strike the post with his conversion attempt.
However, Old Halesonians ran away with the game in the second period, scoring three tries without reply despite a valiant effort from the Kingfishers who had a player sent off late on.
Redditch are next in action at home to Keresley on Saturday, November 18 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Bromsgrove Road.
